I have 2 vintage photo albums filled with old movie star photos some with authentic looking autographs. There are 560 Photos plus 3 Autograph cards. There is also a page or two with Capitol Records Recording Stars. 62 of the photos are signed on the front with some signed on the back (there are yellow post it notes that indicate these although there might be more. I didn't want to take them all out and check in fear of damaging them. There might be more that are signed but when I was in doubt I erred on the side of caution. There are a lot of felt tip type signatures and most I could see were on top of the photo and not a facsimile signature. Some I just couldn't tell because they looked like it. The scrapbook consists of studio photos, promotional photos, glossies, photo postcards and autograph cards. I did extensive research on these and one website had the same signed photos (except for some that I couldn't make out or they didn't have - 17 total) and their valuation on them (what they were selling them for) was 40K. That did not include ones with facsimile signatures at all or just the regular photos. The site was gallery of history dot com and they are a huge site with a great reputation. I'd prefer to sell this wonderful collection as found instead of piecing it out. Please note that there are some post it notes on some that read "I signed" because she was young and didn't always recognize the actor/actress by sight so she put the name on it herself. These are not included in the autograph count at all. I'm trying to find out what it is worth and would love some help from an expert here.
You can look at my profile and see more info such as the list of names of the signed ones and a list of others in general.

Emme,
If you want a company to auction your genuinely signed classic Hollywood, it's hard to beat R&R. You should at least get an idea from them, even if you're not sure which way you want to go. If they're not genuinely signed (preprinted or signed by studio staff members in the star's name), I don't think they'll be interested.
Now these Naval Auxiliary cards sound interesting. I've never heard of them. Louie, can you fill us in?
Louie,
Thank you for the additional information and your input as well. It's so nice to meet someone willing to help me with these. Close ups are forthcoming!
Mel
Steve,
When you say "pre-printed" do you mean the stock fan photos with signature?
