Ebay Removed My Mickey Mantle Authentic, No-Brainer Autographed Baseball.

Yes guys, Ebay has done it to me again.

Ebay has once again removed an auction of mine that contained an authentic autographed baseball from Mickey Mantle.

First, just below, my authentic Mickey Mantle autographed baseball that Ebay removed two day ago.

As you can see, it is a no-brainer, authentic Mickey Mantle autograph on a baseball.

Below is the Message Of Removal that I received from a moron representative from Ebay.

In my opinion, EBay is attacking me for my exposing of forgeries on their auction site.

In my opinion, Ebay does not like me exposing the sellers of forgeries that contribute to their salaries and bonuses.

Am I interfering with their profit machine from the sales of forgeries?

Of course I'm not; the sellers of forgeries have been running amok selling forgeries for years on Ebay.

Following "Operation Bullpen" Ebay was NOT held accountable for the millions of dollars of forgeries that were sold on the Ebay auction site.

Is Ebay now condoning the listing and selling of forgeries on their auction site?

This is the third time Ebay has removed an auction of mine that contained an authentic autograph.

While Ebay continues to remove my authentic autograph auctions, they allow and approve the listings and selling of GFA (Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators) headed by Steve Rocchi.

I have exposed numerous sellers of GFA certed forgeries, and as far as I know, Ebay has never removed a GFA certed forgery listing.

There is too much money and profits to be made from the sales of GFA certed forgeries.

Sellers of GFA certed forgeries include Ebay sellers Mccauleyjr2006, Roma-Jak, Dbvint123, Stevew6, Rbisportsinc and others.

The "Florida" forgeries are also a big seller on Ebay.

Ebay does not remove the "Florida" forgeries.

Again, there is too much money to be made from the sales of the "Florida" forgeries.

This Monday I will be sending my authentic Mickey Mantle autographed baseball to PSA.

When it comes back, I will have more to add to this thread.

He knowledgeable enough to know he can sticker forgeries all day long and nothing will ever happen to him. A few others seem to know this to.

Rocchi was not a founder of PSA/DNA. He was gone by 1993 and that opened in 1999.

Steve and Richard, I didn't just make it up. He claims he helped found PSA/DNA as well as being a leading expert on third party authentication.

I don't know the guy. Obviously you and Richard do. Has anyone had a chance to ask him.?

Stephen Rocchi

A leading expert on third party authentication, Stephen was responsible for setting up the policies, grading, and authentication procedures of the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). In the 1990’s, he was President of Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA) and helped to create PSA/DNA the nation’s first third-party autograph authentication company.

In 2002, Stephen was the founder of Global Authentication Company and has since been featured on Good Morning America, ESPN, and the Sporting News Radio Network.

Stephen came out of retirement in 2011 to form Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA).

Read the rest of that page. It lists "examiners" and Rocchi is not listed as an examiner.

Richard I see what the website says. The company that exclusively uses GFA states he is the authenticator. I've called and spoke with a few people at the company and I asked which if the folks at GFA authenticates these items. They all three say Stephen Rocchi does. If members of this company who work with memorabilia state he does then I have to go with what they tell me. Have you spoken to the company or Stephen to confirm that he doesn't?

I'm guessing nobody looks at any of it since I saw how this company randomly placed other COAs with their items. Burczyck, STAT, AAU etc.

I'm not just guessing.

I would never want to speak with the company.

You know, I'm wrong. He wasn't gone in 1993. He still with PSA at least till the late 1990s, sorry. I thought he formed Global in the '90s. I don't know what he had to do with PSA/DNA, though.

The truth is Rocchi doesn't know squat about autographs, but he's an expert at "authenticating" forgeries.

I see an error. I said "one of the founders" and he claims "he helped to create" .

Both mean pretty much the same thing to me.

Dont attack me lol but I too have had legit items pulled and was told that I must have a coa by one of those 3 TPAs before relisting them. I was warned that if they were relisted without it my account would be suspended

So while there are thousands of items with no coas on ebay if you have an item pulled they can require that it only be relisted with a coa

You are right Sam. Unlike other posters here, you do understand the ebay/COA story.

If an item is pulled for questionable authenticity you must get a COA from one of ebay's approved authenticators. (wonder what kind of a deal they have). However, just listing an autograph item does not require a COA.
