Once again this proves how easy it is to sell forgeries on Ebay.
Check out the below forged Mickey Mantle book "My Favorite Summer."
You would be hard-pressed to find a more hideously-penned Mickey Mantle forgery.
The below forged Mickey Mantle book was listed and sold by Ebay seller Juditwyat_0 for $175.00.
What a waste of $175.00!!!!
Just shows how heavily-populated Ebay is with delusional autograph collectors.
Having the phony inscription "NO 7" helped to convince the buyer to purchase this garbage.
Here is that forged Mickey Mantle book sold by Ebay seller Juditwyat_0 for $175.00.

I paid less than that for my authentic signed book. What a joke.
Who the heck would pay $175.00 for the above pathetic and laughable forged Mantle book, when you can purchase an authentic one for less.
Ebay is so heavily-populated with delusional autograph collectors, that sellers of forgeries have an easy time selling their crap.
its finally happening. the forgeries are out pricing authentic items.
Yep.
All thanks to Ebay for encouraging the listing and selling of forgeries by doing nothing about them.
Yes, Ted, that is all they care about.

Indeed, and it is a shame. With something like Gleason, demand will never be met. Enter the forger. I think I recall Mantle signed a lot, but the number of baseball fans must be immense compared to Honeymooners nuts, and ever growing. Like Gleason (until recent work), has the secretarial/forgery form starting to be accepted as the genuine?
Education with experience is still a most effective tool in the fight - no matter the numbers!

Absolutely!!!!
It also can be FREE! All too often we hear "the question" after the till closes. I do not understand this. People won't buy a car or painting or whatever without looking at it 10 ways to Sunday. Hmm. A sticker directly on a car or painting? LOL no way!
I think we have to understand, and I've said this for years; and that is between 70% and 80% of those that buy autographs are not sincere collectors.
They are impulse buyers, scammers and the delusional.
