Here's yet another Mickey Mantle forgery found on Ebay.

Ebay continues to rake in the dollars from the sales of forgeries.

This Mickey Mantle forgery on a photo was listed and sold by Ebay seller Sportsguy14 for $44.77.

Some Ebay wannabe autograph collector spent $44.77 on this Mickey Mantle forgery listed by Ebay seller Sportsguy14.

It sold for only $44.77 because only wannabe autograph collectors were bidding on this crap.

Wow, Richard.

First, you sell a Mantle forgery on Ebay. An obvious forgery.

Then, you post a Mantle asking us to opine it. It's an obvious authentic Mantle autograph.

Then you make up a story about a "Bust in Chinatown" where they had a "ton of fake autographs."

That second Mantle would only be fake if it is a reproduction/copy. Other than that, it is 100% authentic.

Wonder what Chinatown he is referring to. The one in NYC I was at all the time over the last couple years. Never once saw an autograph being sold. Cops hardly bat an eye about the fake purses, Rolex watches, Uggs, True Religion counterfeits but they zero'd in on some Mantle autograph factory?

Richard, what words do you have for the people who will see this thread and then avoid your auctions and who will spread the word about you. And of course b/c of your behavior will now watch your ebay auctions in case you sell more forgeries. Your pathetic attempts at lying and your ridiculous chinatown story was good for a laugh though

Hi Richard,

Look at the downstrokes of the M's circled on your photo below. They're not smooth and confidentially signed like a natural signature, and Mantle was even smoother than most. He had a very consistent autograph.

Those are just the most obvious things. There are more.

It also looks like the photo is a color inkjet printed photo. The first one came out in 1996, the year after Mantle died. You can easily tell by zooming in on the edge of the photo if there's a margin. Instead of the edge being smooth, like a lab-printed photo, you'll see tiny dots.

Very nice find Steve. Guys like this make themselves look like more of a crook than any of us could. I just hope he understands he has ruined his ebay reputation now, as well as any future reputation in the autograph field.
