There are numerous Ebay sellers based out of Florida who look to have an infinite number of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Roger Maris, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, etc autograph items.

Of course, all of those aforementioned "autograph items" are GFA (Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators and Stephen Rocchi) "authenticated" forgeries.

Some of the most notable of these Ebay sellers are:

Ebay seller Sportsstuff

Ebay seller Gofsu2010

Ebay seller Ranger191

Ebay seller Pan4life14

Makes me wonder if there is a ring of people in Florida who forge and then list their GFA-certed forgeries on Ebay?

One thing for certain; the people who buy and sell this crap are either people who know ZERO about autographs, or they are scammers hiding behind the Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators COA.

There is no gray area here.

Below are screenshots of the last thirty-four sales made on Ebay from Ebay seller Sportsstuff.

All thirty-four sales are GFA-certed forgeries.

Just click on each image to get a closer view.

From Ebay seller Sportsstuff.

Roger Maris passed away in 1985, but evidently Mr. Maris is still doing private signings for Ebay seller Sportsstuff, Ebay seller Gofsu2010, Ebay seller Ranger191 and Ebay seller Pan4life14.

Christopher thanks for taking the time to post this.  Look at the prices for these items.  You have to be totally clueless to believe you can get authentic items of these people at these ridiculous prices.  I also wonder if ANYONE has ever paid GFA for an opinion.   Ebay is infected with this crap.  Not much more than a year ago, if you searched for Mantle autographs, a high percentage of them were authentic thanks in large part to Ebay;s EMR program and their attention to forgeries.  now the cancer is spreading and its out of control.

Thank you, Terrier, and this crap is totally out of control and Ebay is to blame for this mess.

They can easily place Stephen Rocchi and Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators on their Banned COA List, but they won't; they are more interested in the money they can profit from the sales of forgeries.

AND anyone to purchase more than a q-tip from F-BAY is a Jacka** for supporting the machine...stop buying anything from them PERIOD. Look at what they are doing to unsuspecting idiots. Unfortunately, the world is just full of them...If you buy so much as a Kewpie doll from that outfit, you can look at the person to blame right in the mirror.

The hobby took a u-turn 3-4 years ago and this nonsensical stuff from F-Bay has been ramping up for 2 -3 years or more. It is Grotesque on so many levels. They have clearly jumped the shark!  Keep buying from them minions...LOLOLOL

Kind of makes you wonder, though - why would a forger, a confident one at that, not set themselves a higher starting bid, closer to what you'd expect them to be?  I mean, if they can see fools lining up to pay this much, why not go for the kind of price neighborhood a genuine piece would bring?

Patricia, good question.

Because sellers of that crap know that the wannabe autograph collectors and suckers that purchase that crap, aren't spending a ton of money on autographs.

They also know that those type of buyers get caught up in the frenzy of bidding.

Many of those sellers, as I have shown in the past, have shill bidders to bid up the price of their garbage.

Also, Patricia, I don't know how confident those forgers are, but they do know that anything they scribble on item with a COA from Stephen Rocchi and GFA will be bid on and purchased by the wannabe autograph collectors, suckers and impulse buyers.
