I'm not real good with Elton John but I know Roger has a few. I've been looking to add one myself.
I have a lot of signatures from Elton over the years, and although the 'with love' looks ok, the signature doesn't seem to have his usual flourish. It feels awkward and rigid. I would leave this one alone.
I know this a late response, but I need add my two cents! I would agree with Richard to leave this well alone. On the face of it it's a nice Eltonesq signature, but there is one thing that jumps out immediately to me, the connection from E L T always connect in one single pen movement. The second movement is always (in this era) when the T is crossed and that flows in to O N. In this example the L is in incomplete and comes to a very definitive stop mid stroke.... I hope this helps.

Any thoughts on this one please.

Jennifer, you are commenting on a post from 10 years ago to ask about a different Elton John piece. That's not a very efficient way to get opinions on your items. Your best bet is to go to the home page, click "add discussion" and create one for yourself about the Elton pieces you are interested in. All the best.

Probably an attempt to get attention of Richard Booth. Its not the worst way to go about it. For others unaware, she also already has started a post here

Now that you mention it, she does seem to be responding to Richard on all the old posts she's commenting on. Makes sense. A better way to do this however would be to add him as a friend and make direct contact. I've seen folks complain about clogging up the feed with repetitive or old threads before, so I thought she might benefit from a little help. Jennifer, you can actually reach out to him directly by clicking on his account and selecting "add friend". This allows you to message him and he can message back or jump on to your post and help from there. I got an email saying someone responded to my Elton post and couldn't even remember the last time I made an Elton post lol.

I got about 5 Eltons over the years(he is pretty hard in person now), and I'm leaning towards good.  Of course, I am no expert but it seems to match up closely.  I've seen some really bad forgeries over the years, and if this one is a forgery, its a damn good one!  If there is one red flag here, Elton usually sends out stock 4x6 photos (like this one) when requesting a graph through his website or thru the mail.  They are usually stamped or pre-prints.  I would make sure of the origin here and yes, you could look at Roger's website to see some examples also.

I would lean towards genuine, too.

Hi there, any idea to where to look for an authentic Elton John autograph (preferably on paper or photo). Found some on eBay but price seems low, as an example (any ideas to if this could really be authentic)? Thx

That signature mounted with photo is authentic. It looks like early 80’s example.

I have a couple of photos for sale.
