I can´t see how this could be real

OK AB, thank you for your expertise,  I guess I will have to scratch this one, again thank you.

Wait for thers to chime in. May be I´m wrong.
But even if this is real...i find it so atypical that I would never want to own it.

Will do AB thanks for your input.  Keeping an eye on this one today.

Was it signed in person or from the stage? makes a big difference

Here is one of my EJ signatures for comparison.  The one posted seems quite different.  Hope this is helpful.

Nice one, Christopher.

Nicholas - The signed album is fine. Is is the usual signature from Elton from the stage or rushed examples in person.

I run Elton's UK site and have seen this example a lot.

Thank You very much for sharing this Richard, looks great!

I don't wanna come off as "holier than thou" at all, but this is precisely why I try hard to never give an actual opinion unless I'm absolutely certain.  Looking at the LP posted by Nicholas, I would never in a million years have given it a thumbs-up.  The most I was willing to do is show one of mine and offer it for comparison.  Even that, it seems, could have led to an incorrect outcome given Richard's unique experience and far more qualified opinion.  Brings to mind an interesting question - what responsibility does one have who screams "fake", "not even close", "awful", "terrible forgery" if they're wrong?  Just something to think about......

I try my best to just say "I wouldn't buy that" ...or something a bit more vague...Unless obviously so far off from other examples. Its tough, because you want to be helpful but on some of these it could go either way.

Understand and agree.  This particular Elton John example is a really good test case.  The style on my photo is pretty traditional.  Look at the signature on the LP Nicholas posted.  They're so different that if more people had had time and interesting in conveying an opinion, my assumption is that the feedback would have been overwhelmingly negative, likely with some of the careless and dismissive language often used.  I don't really have a point to this, and not trying to preach.  Your approach is a good one Adam.  Just a cautionary note that there may be a cost to others of careless critiques.
