Which one Robert? Thanks.
Hello karsten, I do believe these 2 examples are by the same hand and it looks like Elvis's hand. What's your thoughts?
Well Robert, both looking similar. But I didn't like the second one. IMO a lot is not correct. The first one ,To Matt' looks better. Has a real chance to be Authentic. It has many words, which would be a risk in addition to the Autograph. Other opinions, please.
Karsten, I think the open "L" brought up by ballroom is a good point. Does that rule this example out completely. In my opinion some of the salutation does look like Elvis's and I think these two examples have a lot in common.
Can you tell me what's not correct?

Robert...if Karsten will allow me...

The open "L" as it's being referred to here was seen but very infrequently...

I've included a picture of an autograph signed at the gates of Graceland in the summer  (July) of 1969. There is an open L in this signature but it's the L in Presley...

I owned this autograph once upon a time but sold it many years ago...

Don, even though it's the second "L" that's open-it's still possible. If you look at the Elvis that has the salutation-the "L" is almost open. If you Compare these two Elvis's, they look to close to not be related. Just my opinion.
I'm waiting for Karsten to tell me what's not correct
Thanks Don
Thanks Don for your explanation and your Autograph. IMO not correct is the open ,L' in Elvis, the second ,L looped by P' and the ending of the ,Y' it is very long. Don is right. The open ,L ' in Presley was seen but not often. That's what I am thinking.

Can someone explain what an open L means?  Thanks

Thank you

Got it, thanks!

Do you not feel that the two items are linked together? The signatures show similar characteristics and both are on the same "new old" receipt. Are there any examples of Elvis misspelling the word "friend"? I couldn't find any.

Are they new old receipts or heavy stock thank you cards? Could Elvis misspell a word?
