I called Rizollis on Nov 2nd and they are waiting on the signed bookplates.  They looked up my order and it was still there and they said they are just waiting on.the bookplates.  Peter is back in England,  obviously a busy person so that is understandable.  I am.not worried at all about receiving the book.

anyone had any updates from Rizzolli for this book?

my order indicated back in stock 11-1 but I have not heard anything from Rizzolli  and the book order is still pending.

thanks

I bought mine from the original listing, not the restock and i haven't received mine. I've contacted them twice on their website and no reply.

Same here, Rizzoli have to have to worst communication I have ever encountered anywhere when purchasing online.

You obviously haven't ordered anything from Waterstones in the last year.

Indeed, i'm still waiting for a signed book that was released a month and half ago.

Of course I have, Waterstones may take time to ship, but you get a purchase confirmation, and a dispatch notification. Rizzoli = 0+0.

good news. I just received an email update from Rizzoli store as follows:

The books have just come back in today and we are fulfilling all of the open orders.  Yours will be shipped out soon.  We apologize for the wait, as we had to wait a bit for the books to come back in.  Thank you for your patience!

hope all of you still waiting have received the same.

Available again for order

1) They won't send you an order confirmation

2) They won't send you a shipping email

3) The first you'll hear that it shipped is getting a tracking #.

4) They aren't the fastest for shipping.

But they are coming from them and they pack well if you are willing to be patient.

Is it worth it to get a $70 bookplate of Peter Gabriel? Just asking opinions as I know it depends on the person.  Im on the fence with this one because of the $20 shipping.

I am a huge fan so am biased but YES

Worth means different things to different people so you are right that you may get different responses. True fans who collect autographs will buy this instantly. I wasn't going to pay $22 shipping for 1 book, so I picked up 2 for $23 shipping instead lol. The cost is based on the book, not the signatures. You are basically getting the signatures for free.. but who wants a $55 book of eyeballs? I personally only like 1 of the pictures. Its a nice heavy book overall and the concept is pretty interesting. Ive been searching for a Gabriel autograph off and on for the last 2 years. A few real ones that I watched, the auction ended early because an offer was accepted from another buyer. If I had seen this back then for $75, I personally would have bought it.

When it comes to Hall of Famers, I dont mess around. You never know how long these guys have left.. the world is always changing and in 20 years, I invision all music from the 20th century will be held at a much higher regard.  I dont want to give anyone advice for reselling, but if you are not a fan and are just looking at this as an investment, you will not lose money.. there probably are better ways to use your money but if you are in the market for a genuine Gabriel autograph and are not comfortable sifting through the many forgeries out there, this is currently your best option
