I bought a Babe Ruth piece from Field Of Dreams at the Rio Casino a few years back and I have battling with them to refund my money without any success. Instead they tried to over me a replacement for even more money. JSA confirmed that this autographed piece was not authentic even though it came with a Christopher Morales COA. This has been an on going battle with them for years that has gone from the store to the parent company that sells their Franchise Licenses. All I can say is Buyer Beware!

I have to say that when all was said and done, John Polisano, Mike Novelli and Dan Fox at FOD stood up and did the right thing. The three pieces that I chose as an exchange for the Ruth were received in excellent condition and look fantastic displayed in my son's office! I would have no problem going back there and working with these guys again.

Very glad to hear that, Bill. Congrats.

Thanks Steve and Happy Holidays to you and all our other fellow members here on "Autograph Magazine... Live"

Bill good job!!! You picked some awesome pieces!! I purchased two pieces at Art of Music a few years ago and both turned out to be forgeries. It took forever to return my items. At the end I was given store credit.

I will never purchase a autograph at a Casino gallery again I learned my lesson.

I completely understand what your saying, once you get burned as bad as I did it makes you question every single every single thing that you look at. Like they say, if you didn't see him/her sign it yourself youll never really know its authenticity.

I am just curious and do not mean to cast doubt, but if this place sold you a bad one before, are you certain the autographs you have now selected are on the up and up?

That is very good advice.
Is field of dreams the place Pete Rose always sits (or at least did)?

I know Pete Rose signed at Antiquities in Caesar's Palace (perhaps their only genuine autographs), but I heard he signed for Field of Dreams in Vegas, too.

Just got done reading all this. Why did the buyer of the Ruth accept store credit instead of a full refund?

I will have to pull out my receipt. I bought a signed ball from Pete in 2010 and I think it was the FOD store in Caesar's. I thought the store seemed legit for the most part. Antiquities on the other hand was awful. I felt bad even walking around in the place thinking of all the hard earned money people would waste there.
