HI everyone I am new and a Fleet wood Mac collector.  I found this signed tambourine

http://www.limitededitionsports.com/limited_editions_of_new_york_we...

and I have been warned against buying it because of the Showcase authenticity. By a close contact of Stevie, who works at an auction house.  He did not say the sigs were fake, just that he did not trust ShowCase.  The signatures look so real, and the owner of Limited Sports has it in his private collection.  Can anybody help me?

How do I reach you?  I just joined this morning.

If you are interested Kathleen, contact me at bruce_juice@yahoo.com

Lifetime guaranty of authenticity and FULL Letter (COA) from RR Auction.  Ask around, they are one of the most trusted auction houses.

Looks like the time fashion forgot, cool photo nicely signed.

Not real at all.

Which one is not real at all. The original one discussed or the R&R piece or both? Also, if someone trustworthy gives you an opinion why would you still pursue it? Autographs can be a difficult area to collect due to the numerous problems discussed here. Always err on the side of precaution.

I think in her defense the source "close to Nicks" is not necessarily an autograph authenticator.

I don't like it. It's a poor forgery. Plus the marker has been absorbed into the skin of the tambourine.

Stay away. I own a real signed picture of the band. It's a centerpiece in my collection.
