I am interested in learning who is dealer/seller of forensically certified memorabilia. Anyone who collects or sells music/sports memorabilia with letters of authenticity from court certified forensic document examiners would be greatly appreciated!

Hope everyone is having a great day.

You need to be careful with a lot of FDE out there im sure there are legit ones that could authenticate items but do your research on the authenticator before buying anything 2 FDE come to mind with authenticating any thing submitted to them and have certed millions in fake items

You mean self-titled "Forensic" people like Chris Morales, Drew Max, Steve Rocchi, Donald Frangipani, etc?

William, no way I could have verbalized that.

Those guys make me sick.

Chwa,

Autographs offered with letters of authenticity by so-called court-approved forensic document examiners are almost always fake. Those letters are signs of forgery, not authenticity.

Where did you hear about them?

Steve is absolutely correct.

They use their "Forensic" title to "authenticate" forgeries.

In my opinion, they are either complicit or incompetent.

Thats hardly true. Think about this... a forensic document examiner undergoes 2 years of school to learn the craft, and then they are required to shadow a forensic expert for 2 years in a lab. That's a total of 4 years of extensive hands-on training in ink analysis and exposure to questionable handwriting documents.

Why does every CPA firm employ a forensic expert? Why do the courts rely on a forensic expert to detect criminal activity in checking fraud? It's because the court system recognizes the value of this training and education. A forensic expert has the qualifications to detect a genuine from fake signature across a multitude of documents, checks, banking statements, insurance, etc.

How would this extensive training not translate and carry over towards recognizing genuine authenticity in memorabilia? Forensic document examiners are also allowed to enter into court and testify to defend their opinion.

Chwa, then explain to me why Ebay put Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales on Ebay's Banned COA list?

Explain to me, Chwa, why I have literally observed thousands upon thousands of forgeries "authenticated (cough, cough)" by the likes of Chris Morales, Drew Max, Steve Rocchi, etc?

Like I previously wrote, Chwa, they are either complicit or incompetent.

It's your money bro. Nobody going to argue with you how to spend it.

Good luck with whatever you buy. Good luck again ever trying to resale it.

Chwa, below is a link to a thread I wrote about a court case in which Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales testified.

Please read it.

Think about this Chipawa....I have been looking at Autographs and following blogs for about 10 years...I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN AUTHENTIC AUTOGRAPH accompanied by a COA from a Forensic Examiner....NEVER! That's along time and many autographs. I'm not saying that one day, I'll find one or two.  So schooling or not, they are either complete boobs, or they are used by scamers and fraudsters exclusively to rear end dupes like yourself. I know it makes sense in your mind, but the more you see in this hobby, the more it's downright pathetic.

Chwa, a friend of mine is a forensic authenticator and authenticates handwriting, documents such as contracts, paper documents etc to determine age and any obvious fakes and has done a lot of work for the police and other authorities in New Zealand and Australia.

She has made it clear to me that almost all of the forensic examiners who authenticate autographs are simply lining their own pockets by telling gullible people the item is real.

Go buy autographs with a forensic examination certificate and you can pay out $10k and you'll have a collection worth zero.
