I have have very little time to post but had to mention an autograph find made among the stress. In 1985 or '86 I wrote a letter to Dr. Ballard congratulating him on his discovery of R.M.S. Titanic and asked if he would answer questions about what he saw. About a year or two later I received a proper reply on WHOI stationary thanking me, and telling me he would indeed answer any questions if I send them at the address specified. I haven't seen this in 30 years and thought it lost. I will post a scan when I can make one. It is signed in black steel tipped pen.
