Full Set of Beatles Autographs - Opinions

I spotted this set of autographs on a UK site and emailed them to let them know the signatures were not genuine. I was curious why any auction house would put such a bad set up for sale. Below is the response I received and I hope I can explain why these signatures are not genuine.

Thank you for your query.

Obviously, our valuers are not experts in this particular field, however before putting these up for sale they did research what are claimed to be genuine signatures and coupled with what appeared to be a plausible story we put them up for sale.

On a previous occasion when we had a set of Beatles signatures for sale we had two experts in the field assess them – one said they were not genuine, the other said he was 100% sure that they were genuine. So, even the experts cannot always agree and it would seem that unless you witnessed a person signing something you can never be 100%certain. In the art world there have been many forgers that have fooled the so called experts.

We are always willing to learn and increase our knowledge in areas that we do not have in-house expertise so as you must be well acquainted with the Beatles’ autographs to make the comments you have, what is it that tells you they are fake?

This is one of the worst sets I’ve ever seen, I’ve got about 8 dvd’s Full of scanned authentic examples, also I have literally seen thousands and thousands of fakes, but this one is complete madness...When will it end ???
