I PURCHASED A GEORGE "SUPERMAN" REEVES PIECE FROM ANTIQUITIES IN LAS VEGAS BACK IN 2004. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT AND PACKING SLIP. I RECENTLY TRIED LISTING IT ON EBAY TO SELL AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A FAKE. CAN I GET VERIFICATION IF THE SIGNATURE BELOW IS REAL OR FAKE? AND IF IT IS FAKE HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Christopher. Your trying to make it sound as if I didnt care if it was real or not. I am not an expert in this field. I assumed that when I bought it that it was real with all the documentation that came with it. If its not real than I am glad that ebay removed it. I would feel terrible to have sold it to someone thinking I scammed them. Because if the shoe was on the opposite foot I would give the buyer their money back!

Not at all, Derek.  But you're the one that came here asking for help.

You also previously wrote "I have bought a few items from them in the past. This is the only one in question."  Does that mean that you are certain your signed Rolling Stones album is authentic?

Your right. I dont know that he was ever a credible authenticator. Sometimes I try to give people the opportunity (benefit of the doubt) to do the "right thing". Point being is if she gave me a refund I cant hold it against her for doing the right thing. But if she is known online as a "pusher" of forged documents, then that is another story. You guys would know better about that then me. Yes I did come to this site asking for all your help which is greatly appreciated. I have two other pieces that I bought around the same time. One was a poster of the movie American Beauty signed by Kevin Spacy and I also bought a signed Rolling Stones album.

Derek, I'm curious who certed your Rolling Stone piece?
I will have to look. I have it in a storage unit. Give me a few days and I will get back to you on it.

Derek, I don't know Ms. Stoffa.  All I know is that her website contains photographs of signatures that are blurry, and that her "authenticators" of choice are Frangipani and Morales.

Would you happen to know if her store sells autographs that are authenticated by PSA?

I dont know. It has been a a couple of years since I was in her store....
Actually Chris, I believe her authenticator of choice is AAU/Drew Max.

Thanks, Steve.  But obviously she has used Frangipani and Morales, too.

What, no PSA or JSA?

I think this discussion has gone " WAY OFF TRACK"
The C.O.A from Antiquities is very specific in how to go about a refund.

Derek came here for help and advice,

Something I know Steve cares about very much.

Steve, can you post what you have in regards to Authentic Exemplars of Reeves Here.

I am at work, Posted earlier from my house , but need to search my files for more Authentic Exemplars.

Bob,  you're right, it has gone way off track, but these things always seem to snowball because these discussions are never as small as they seem to be in the beginning of these discussions.  They are simply compressed and then it inflates.

There is no way that Derek could have requested a refund without the discussion 'inflating."

We all want Derek to get a refund if that is his desire because he is unhappy with his piece.  But then Derek can't say that he's only unhappy with his George Reeves piece and not his Rolling Stones signed album that he purchased from the same place.

If he never questioned his George Reeves autograph until it was removed from Ebay (seven years after he purchased it),  then what might make him 100% confident that his Rolling Stones signed album is authentic, unless, of course, he has knowledge of Rolling Stones autographs.

And that's why the discussion inflates after a few posts.  If he had never decided to attempt to auction off his George Reeves piece this discussion would have never been born.  But if I was Derek,  I would then have to question and research the other two pieces he purchased from the same place.
