I am wondering if anyone can opine on the likelihood that the letter below was genuinely written by Ronald Reagan vs. autopen, a secretary, or some other mechanism.

It was sent to my grandfather in response to a letter he wrote to the president during Reagan’s time in office, and I have had it in my possession for 35+ years. It is obviously not personalized and does not mention the subject that my grandfather has written about.

I would assume this generic response from a sitting president is printed, not handwritten.

That’s printed. I bought one of those once off eBay (sold as printed). They are still collectible even though not actual handwritten. They are still nice because of the stationary.
