jg autographs is a good company so you can buy it without any problems. looks good to me!.

Other opinions???

Check this out from a few years ago.

Harrison Ford Autograph Study

I understand the whole trusted dealer thing but it seems to me that the value of some autographs finally reach a point where getting them authenticated becomes necessary to sell.

Michael, that is exactly what the third party authenticators want to you think. I certainly understand the influence they have on this hobby. Too much influence in my opinion.

This Harrison Ford looks genuine to me. JG is an outstanding seller with a solid reputation. That is not the question. Is the sticker getting too powerful for it's own good? Beware of the pied piper mentality!

So you think if the cost of an autograph is high that it is not a good idea to get a second set of eyes on it? Sorry, I have seen plenty of dumb stuff with the zombie authentication crew but if I am going to shell out stupid money for a signature I'm going to have it looked at more than once. No one said it had to be the three ring circus of JSA, PSA and Beckett.

What works for you is fine with me. I was merely sharing my thoughts. That and a couple of bucks with get you a cup of coffee.

I've sold Vivien Leighs, Judy Garlands, Lou Costello and so on for good prices w/o any papers.

"...jg autographs is a good company so you can buy it without any problems..."

You should take each signature individually on its own merits - a blanket statement like that is a potential problem IMO, no matter the source.

you didn't read that the autograph looks good to me? and i have never read anything about jg autographs that starts me to think it's better to avoid them. i bought from them in the past and it all looks good to me and great service.

Yes, I did, and I also have bought from JG. I was pointing out that a blanket statement like that can be applied by the wrong person or inexperienced collector who might think anything and everything has to be good, and that is never the case as everyone makes mistakes.

i understand what you are saying and what do i know? it's just a opinion and wasn't there when this photo was signed but maybe it's better to ask jg autographs how they did get this autographed photo ''that's the way i would do it'' and go from there. when their answer is not good enough and gives more questions than answers than it's better to stay away. now i read from joe w about the size of the photo but could it be the Original that later has been used for printed ones?.

Rob, I am not saying the signature is not genuine. If it's live ink it likely is. I'm just saying the photo size is uncommon for authentic Ford signatures. The "D" is a bit more rounded than usual. People ask for opinions and we try our best. Your opinion is as good or better than mine. The good news is, if there is a problem, JG would take care of it.
