Has this Gleason been trimmed and did that invalidate the TPG certification?

Sinful. I don't see how this fits w/o being trimmed. This chop shop stuff makes me sick.

It is also $900! I paid about $175 for my 7"x9" 1955 SP....

This appears a 1980's signature which is perhaps the rarest of all so double-sin.

I'm looking at the letter from JSA.

It seems they examined it when it was still an 8" x 10" and then the seller (or someone) cut it down to make a custom card?

I don't know what size it was (says 8x10(v)) but yes, surgery (ill informed and horridly executed) has been done. If this were an 8x10 that would be truly a crazy move. From what I can see that was a photo of him. But what I was wondering - this "chopping" - does this invalidate the JSA cert?

Paron the question but what is "8x10(v)?"

Verical?

I wondered about that as well .... 8x10(v) ?

It's all I can think of.

Something is definitely up with the COA photo. It's a terrible image.

I decided to just Google it.

The AI answer was:

"On a JSA Letter of Authenticity (LOA) for autographs, "V" usually indicates the use of a Video Spectral Comparator (VSC) during the authentication process.  The VSC is a specialized piece of equipment used by JSA (James Spence Authentication) to examine autographs in detail, detecting potential forgeries or alterations that might not be visible to the naked eye."

I thought they might have.

But wait, that is insane. This is sickening. I can hear Steve C. saying don't listen to AI. They are using ...what?"

Here's from the JSA lookup page.

It looks like they examined it already trimmed.
