Hello,

I need some advice.  I am considering selling a collection of autographs, I've never done it before. Can someone tell me how generally does it work?  I live in Australia, So when I advertise and a collector agrees to buy, how generally do you guys receive the money when you sell?  Thanks so much.

Iv never sold but iv bought and Usually payments done using PayPal

Thanks Jason, I'll look into that, I must be able to do that, I bought stuff using Paypal so I must have an account somewhere!

eBay makes the act of buying and selling easy. The issue of authenticity is, however, much much harder. A huge percentage of the autographs for sale on eBay are forgeries. Especially the big names in sport and music. The best advice I could give is to invest allot of time on this site. Get to know the names of the reputable companies and individuals. Be prepared to hear horror stories about how unscrupulous the hobby can be.

Accepting money via Paypal is easy if you already have an account. The money gets instantly placed in your account and you can keep it there to use to spend on the Internet or transfer it to your checking/savings account. There is a fee charged by them for handling the transaction. Also, you may try to list your autographs here first and see if there is an interest before selling them on ebay. You will save money due to the cost of selling them on ebay. We have a free Buy, Sell, Trade group on this site. Just a thought.

Thanks Joe,

Yes I have a Paypal account, so I'm going to do it that way.  I'm just waiting until the COA on my Signatures to be loaded on the Australian Memorabilla Assosition website so that buyers can view it.

Thanks so much Guys!

Yes I'm going to list them here,  not only that I don't see why i should use a Dealer when I can list here, seems silly.
