I bought this from this guy for $400. And he told me that he got the signatures in person and it had a Beckett certificate of authentication with it. This is what came in the mail today. Definitely can't trust the coa. But, the signatures could be good. I'm no Cars expert. Please let me know what you think.

p.s. Or at least a direct electronic communication from them prior to the sale with the statement that there was a Beckett COA that would be accompanying it.  Preferably, there would also be a direct electronic communication from them prior to sale forwarding you a scan of the album itself that matches what you have posted here.

Hopefully that wasn't the part discussed on the phone...

I never seen it prior to getting the fake one in the mail

Well maybe not but I was just trying to be thorough. I figured maybe some one might have heard of this guy.

I just dealt the cards I was given. It sucks

Whatever else, I'd advise redacting that man's address off of the PayPal communication shared above.  The address was shown yesterday as well via a mailing label.

Done. Good eye.

So then his address has already been redacted. It wasn't my meaning to post that personal info on here. It's just that a copied and pasted the whole PayPal complaint on here to be seen. I wasn't thinking about that.

Also, anyone here who is now trying to say that I shouldn't have filed the complaint with PayPal. I specifically asked everyone on this forum and almost everyone said to go through paypal to protect myself. And that's what I did. Furthermore, I never felt right about having to go about it that way, but that was the consensus.

If you caught and listened to the bright red flag "he wanted it sent friends and family" we wouldn't be here. That was a very important signal. When someone hears that it is time to move along.

That's not true. Yes, It can be a red flag. But as a Verified member of the RACC people do that all the time in order to save the 3 to 4 % fee. I was dealing with this guy for the first time so that wouldn't work for me under these circumstances. Don't forget this seller used some good references like Jeff Wolfe CEO of Iconicauctions. So no it wasn't such a big red flag like you might think.

O.K. I don't think it a good idea. I don't know that many would. YMMV

Using PayPal FF for purchases is a violation of their TOS.  Just saying....

It also leaves buyers with no protection.
