Now would be a poor time to "invest" in either case. Both have been relatively prolific signers over the years -- especially of books. There is no shortage of supply. Once the dust settles, prices will return to sanity... even for the one who will be president.
I got one of the Trump signed books when they were $24 at Premier Collectibles last spring. <fingers crossed> :-)
Good point. Neither represents a great investment at the moment. Like when a hot new movie comes out, these names are both at inflated prices.
Both will remain well-known celebrities in any case, as they have been for years. But the prices at the moment are both based on hype and excitement.
I also got one at Premier Collectibles. Also Fingers crossed
Once Debbie Wasserman Shultz was re-elected my faith in a legit electoral system was completely lost and I immediately started investing in HRC items. I'm convinced that money and power corrupt and the fix is in. I do believe it's still a good time to find quality autographs and by that I mean, her full name signatures. Once she becomes POTUS I doubt you'll see anymore signing out of her. Right now is especially a good time to find dual signed items although as someone else stated, they are relatively overpriced so you have to find the right items at the right price. I have dual signed cut pieces matted/framed at the $900 range while on 11x14s people are asking over $2000. I expect those prices to go up, especially with Christmas right around the corner. BTW, I'm not voting for her...or him for that matter.
Wikileaks made it very clear the fix has been in for a long time. The whole Dem primary was a charade from day one... over before it started. Not a fan, but Sanders never had a chance.
Establishment pols + mainstream media = very cozy relationship.
I am a collector of presidential autographs, and I have several on baseballs. If she wins, she will be the first president, whose autograph I will have no interest in owning. That is how sick this whole political process has made me. I do own two books signed by Trump, win or lose I am happy with them. His early signatures (like the ones from 1987 on Art of the Deal) are much more desirable. his current ones are just a series of vertical lines, in some cases.
There was a time years ago, that John McCain came to town to do a book signing. I had no desire to get his autograph, but I thought...he may run for President some day. It's my chance to get a signed book for $35, so I did.
Perhaps it's only worth $35 still today, but it was worth the gamble.
