Poor forgery in my opinion.
Thanks Steve. After my own research, I also think this one is forgery.
Yes, I could do better than that.
E=Laughable fake!
X Karl, this is no laughing matter. Einstein's autograph like that with "E-mc2" would easily sell for USD 6-figures. How would you feel if you were in the same situation as your friend? Was this certified by GFA, Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators?
+100, and there be a line for bidding.
+1
Yes, Steve. Anyone will feel terrible when he finds out he spent 3000 dollars on a forgery. But I think it will give him a lesson that before you purchase an autograph, you should do some research. The seller even lied to him, told him that this Einstein autograph was from Alan "Mr. Mint" Rosen. That's insane. By the way, this autograph isn't certified by Anyone.
Here are links to prices realized for Einstein autographs from University Archives and RR Auction. These are without the theory of relativity. University's prices are hammer prices before buyers premium. RR's include it.

By the second page I found an Einstein with the Theory of Relativity equation like to the one in the OP, authenticated by GFA. It sold for $650. You have to log in to see prices realized.

Here's another one like the other 2 on cards, GFA certified, that sold for $7,300: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/98060044_albert-einstein-signe...
Here's another one like the other cards with Einstein's autograph and theory of relativity, GFA certified, that sold for $15,000: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/113223856_albert-einstein-sign...
Another GFA-certified card like the others that sold for $2,750: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/124389732_albert-einstein-sign...
ANOTHER one GFA-certified that sold for $1,900, all from the same seller: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/106086758_albert-einstein-sign...
Another signed photo with Relativity, certified by GFA, by same seller again. Sold for $6,000: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/128400449_albert-einstein-sign...
And tons more after those.
Framed too! They've "left" over $1,199,870 on the table. Monopoly Money of course. Wonder why...
Great research Steve. You've cast your point in bronze!
