I purchased this Hank Aaron signed baseball in the early 80's at a card show. The baseball used for the signature with made in 1983, National League Official Charles S Feeney Pres. I compared it with other Hank Aaron autographs and I can find some similarities but I cannot be sure, opinions are welcomed.

I don't see a photo of the signature.

Here you are Steve:

Here is an officially signed Hank Aaron ball that was on the internet that I found from a site that guaranteed it to be authentic. They look almost identical.

The OP ball may or may not be good, as the one you just posted. Others will hopefully comment on those. I will say authentication is more than just looking alike.  And a decent forgery will "look alike" - that is the point.

The business that had the image I compared it to was from Steiner Sports Memorabilia in which they guarantee authenticity. I looked carefully at the two images and they look almost identical with the way he signed the one from Steiner Sports. I know I purchased the ball from what I thought was a reputable dealer in the 80's.

Unless you are adept at this with years of experience a simple comparison based on the appearance of a few balls is irrelevant. The OP ball may or may not be good. I'd wait for opinions from others. I hope it is good. :-)

Thanks Eric for your help, I just don't like the idea I was taken for ride in the 80's when I purchased that ball and I hope it's authentic.

I did not say you were taken at all. Let's see what others say.

After looking at perhaps 25 balls this may not be good. Again, see what others say. It appears atypical from my cursory search.

Steve is here today - maybe he will comment.

You know the shame with all of this is that it really comes down to opinions, to be honest unless you are there getting an autograph in person how can you really believe anything is authentic even the ones which supposedly are guaranteed to be official? When I compared it to that one from Steiner Sports which was guaranteed to be authentic it sure looked the same from every angle. Every signature changes with time and age, even our own. Could be a rushed one vs one that had more time to make it. I guess what I am saying is that no matter what opinion comes down nobody here is going to absolutely say without a doubt it is a fake or real signature.

Absolutely disagree. Put  up a Gleason or a Bowie and I'll tell you.
