Is there any way this is authentic? Has anyone heard of Reel Hollywood?

Stan Lee passed away last year.

I don’t see that particular question posted on this thread but if someone asked you that question i can assume it was because if the mask had a 2019 date on it, obviously it lower the chances as being authentic cause Stan died in 2018

The year of issue to know if that particular Stan Lee signature could have taken place. Forgers often trip themselves up with anachronisms. Since I saw the date of the alleged signature on the certificate (8/2017) the manufacture date was then a moot point. By 08/2017, Stan's signature no longer resembled that, in fact, stylistic elements from different time periods are obvious here, the forgery a real mash up of conflicting elements from different time periods. I've seen this rendition before, the forger's own handwriting plainly imparted within the forgery. If I'm correct, he sells a lot of Lee forgeries dirt cheap on ebay.

The only thing that can be said at all positive is that the forger wasn't hesitan. It's not herky jerky and does have flow, even though that flow isn't even remotely Stan's, and that goes double for anything connected with 8/2017 as an alleged signing date..

+1 re anachronisms etc, Don't know the sig.

Is it possible that the seller is not aware?  It should at least be considered.

Well, when I got involved I asked her for the contact info for the authenticator and she immediately stopped responding.  Sounds like she was aware,  I know we sound ignorant but my daughter and I did not know how much a Stan Lee signature was worth before this.

I haven't looked at the seller's other items because I'm not sure of who the seller is, although that Stan Lee forgery, the hand behind it, does look familiar. Of course, it is altogether possible that the seller is unaware, but whether aware or unaware, the net result is the same, and wrong; the sale of an obvious forgery that could easily have been prevented if the seller did some responsible due diligence prior to offering it to the public.

Pamela, you do not sound ignorant.  You sound like a beginner.  We have all been there.  Once the seller stopped responding, they opened themselves up to suspicion.

Woody, unless I have it wrong, I linked to the seller in this thread yesterday:

Seller

You linked to the item.  Woody, you can view the seller’s other items from that page.

Hello. There it is. All of them signed at the kitchen table. All in the same hand. Ridiculous.
