I've come to the conclusion that serious autograph collectors have a special passion for it. Passion is emotional as well as intellectual. Emotions sometimes come out of us as anger. First, we have to be humble and realize that none of us knows it all. Second, we need to be forgiving. Finally, we need to become wise as serpents and gentle as lambs.

It isn’t an easy thing to do, but one of the most important aspects of autograph authentication is the willingness to address past mistakes. Without that, a TPA will always be substantially flawed. Mistakes are bound to happen and the ones that do rarely seem to get corrected.

Is this a TTM study in disguise?

Attached are two very recent IP examples from the UK.

Well I thought this thread would have fizzled out but I see it has resparked in a cool way.

Those are both great rushed examples Steffman

And each one shows variances in traits.

One is just a mess but does have an up swing finish and the r starting above the mid point of the E

The other shows E coming back below the mid point but finished with a down stroke

And neither has the typical slash for the "I"

I appreciate you posting these

Can I ask why posted these?

And what did you mean by saying a TTM study in disguise??

Most of his authentic IP examples are pretty messy lately, not as nice as his latest TTM returns or these CDs.

Do we know how long ago the CDs were obtained IP by the anonymous UK collector?

I've also attached both CD samples together here. It's always nice to have multiple signatures from the same source when possible, and I hadn't notice the 2nd cover being shared here as well.

Has there been a open study of recent Clapton TTMs? I noticed some of them have name inscriptions added above. Has anyone compared the inscriptions to his writing yet to help confirm they're good? If so, can you link me to the thread or share samples?

Thanks!
