There was a whole discussion here where head people in AFTAL sold Forged MJ items and they got out to a bunch of AFTAL dealers. After tons of back and forth AFTAL basically took a cop out and claimed that there IN person collector had a number of items passed in and the don't know as they didn't see it signed.

Roger and others believed that the source was forging them and that story was just to cover there a****. The same person apparently also was selling questionable Paul Mccartneys and to my knowledge no refunds were ever offered.

Never heard of him or seen a COA issued by him. Looked at his web site and doesn't mention authenticating autographs from what I would see.

Anyway, there are some very serious MJ collectors on this site and I would say, if they say it's not real, I would believe them. Also, Roger Epperson will give a quick opinion for $15. And, if he says it's good, he will authenticate it for you. His LOA is highly regarded in the hobby and worth the fee.

Sorry to say, but the autograph below that you posted definitely isn't genuine in my opinion.

Years ago, a large number of Michael Jackson forgeries that looked similar to this autograph were being sold by dealers in the UK. In many cases the dealers didn't know, because they were being offered by a trusted source. In some cases I believe they did.

The same source was selling dealers similarly suspicious Paul McCartney autographs.

If you want an "official opinion" and don't mind spending £6.95 for one by email, send it to Garry King of Touchstone Authentication. He's an AFTAL-approved authenticator and the only third-party authenticator in the UK who I think is worth his salt.

I took a look at the seller you purchased this from and he offers a lifetime guarantee on authenticity. Not sure why the buck is being passed to earlier sellers/owners of the signature. I'm not sure what you seller's policy is but would get with him and discuss a possible return on this item. If the seller is in this business for the long haul, he should be willing to accept the return. If he believes the Jackson is authentic then he should have no problem with a return.

Dominic Manning was the source of the questionable Michael Jacksons.

And as for Marc Mclennan, if he told me it's a beautiful day I'd run for the nearest storm shelter.
