It looks real to me. Let's see what others say.

Thank you so much for responding back to me. Would you be able to tell me how much it's worth, and how is can go about getting it authenticated

First, let's wait to see what others say. Some may not agree with me. Great forgeries come out from time to time and others may recognize this as one.

For pricing, please post full photos front and back to get estimates.

Authentication is about $100, but you can probably sell it without any to experienced MJ collectors. You want to make sure you get a fair price, though.

Steve...

It looks good BUT it may be a replica/copy.

True. It's old and I haven't seen one before so I didn't zoom in. Have you seen one?

I’m inclined to think it’s real as well.  As Prashant notes, it’s important to makes sure the autograph is above the photo and not part of it.  I have been burned this way a few years back.

Any tips on how to tell if it has ink on it?

Look at the photo and see if you can tell any difference in the way the light reflects off the unsigned part of the photo and the signature.

Zooming in, I think that it could be a copy, but we need better images. The one posted is a highly degraded JPEG.

It's not a preprint that I've seen before and it's a 1980-ish shot and the photo condition looks that old. If it's a copy, it was made long ago.

It looks good to me, too.
It looks like it's a copy BUT it's in a protective case and that makes it seem like it's a copy in my opinion!

Ivo,

It’s not in a protective case, it’s bowed. Once I looked at a close-up, I do think it’s a print, but I’ve never seen one like that before. It’s a 30 or so year-old photo, and looks every day of it, so it didn’t occur to me that it could be a print.

Steve,

I think that it is in a plastic Cover / Case
here you can see it better

I didn't realize that the photo was in a holder! You're right then, it could be an actual signed photo.
