Unless it's an illegal copy of the film.

The appearance certainly is consistent with the time period so I suspect the copy was "legal." What would concern me is the label states "Property of Stanford University." I think I would want some verification that they no longer had a claim on it. It does not say "copyright" it says "property" so this implies that particular film on sale not necessarily every copy of it.

Thanks for catching the Stanford part. I was trying to figure where they got a 16 mm as I thought I had only copy other than Stanford thesis files. This may be the Stanford copy which means it may be a stolen copy from them. But haven't heard from seller yet
