I have four signed JK Rowling first edition, first printings: Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.  All signatures have been authenticated by PSA/DNA, along with some combination of the requisite JK hologram or Autographica (Gary King) LOA.  Personally, I would not consider buying anything without rock solid provenance (midnight signing ticket, authentic JK hologram) or a reputable LOA.  The market is flooded with fakes.

Since I cannot see yours to opine, here is my Deathly Hallows for comparison.  Also, here is a nice synopsis of HP Books

There were a lot of book signing tours for Chamber of Secrets as JK was looking to further establish herself in 1998/1999, Justin.  Unfortunately, I do not believe this is a JK Rowling signature. It just doesn’t seem to match up, in my opinion. I will try to find some authentic Chamber of Secrets signatures.....not in my collection yet though.  See if others concur with my opinion.

I appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking where did you find your books? I really was hoping to find a signed book but I've been told, since my budget is limited, I'd possibly be better off trying to find a damaged book that sale for cheaper. They even suggested cutting the signed title page out of the book and framing it. I thought it was a good idea. I'm a public school librarian so my budget isn't enough to buy a signed first edition or anything like that.

I purchased all from meier and sons rare books.  Cost ranged from $1500 to $3500.  I also purchased a first/first philosopher stone years ago from Meier for $5000, no signature for that price. As you know, book value is all about condition so you could save substantial money finding one in rough condition with a legit signature.

You think so? Even without being authenticated? I showed this to Peter, aka Potter Collector, and he was on the fence on this one. I bring him up because I see you mentioned him in another J.K. Rowling related question.

Yes Steve.  If I remember right, a UK ed of Goblet of Fire was posted.

If Peter is on the fence, then I would trust that.   I believed authentic, but if it is a forgery - the JKR forgers are improving leaps & bounds.  Also, it might help to get a higher resolution photo.

1999 USA Tour ones can be very odd in shape... there were some very weird looking ones out of the estimated 40,000 book signed - and she had a wrist guard on at times.

here is the goblet of fire that was previously posted.  Didn’t know about the wrist guard in ‘99.  I will get some photos of my Bllomsbury editions out there by the end of the week as I keep them tucked away in storage.
