A 5-page Janis Joplin letter was cut up and issued as encapsulated handwritten words. I’ve seen that done with presidential writing, but I don’t recall seeing it happen with a letter from a music artist. That said, her letters aren’t that rare, as a number of them to her boyfriend were sold at auction a while back. So far, the word “Of” sold on eBay for $41. I don’t know the cost to encapsulate, but at that rate the cut up letter will sell for substantially more than it would have in its original state. What do you think?
