Had this one checked out by Roger Epperson who said it looks fine . Then it failed a Beckett quick opinion …I’ve previously had one failed by Beckett’s full inspection that Roger has guaranteed is genuine along with many other reliable people .

my question is has anyone else had bad experiences with Buckley and Beckett ?

Obviously I value Roger’s experience and opinion in music over there’s .

I can't imagine buying an autograph with no knowledge. To rely on others for everything is not collecting - it is just buying a list names - those signatures sought and those on certs. I'm not going to pay someone to have all the fun I could be having learning and taking part in the decision process.

Every autograph I’ve ever bought has been based on my opinion and I still stand by my opinion . I don’t however see any harm in having an opinion from an internationally recognised authenticator to either confirm or deny my opinion .

All that Roger has done is confirm what I originally thought .
It gives me piece of mind and I can sleep easier knowing he’s given it a positive review.

I have since messaged him again regarding Beckett’s opinion and had this in response .

I have been fortunate to also have a few experienced dealers I trust give me their thoughts from time to time on an autograph from another source. They had not ulterior motive but to help me out.

I agree Etienne, I too have been pleasantly surprised many times. And yes, many sellers do not have the best scanning skills - sometimes you can't read the surfaces at all.

I’m not too familiar with his signature either. That said, did he really sign that way? Why the extraneous portion between the “K” and “L”? Also, there doesn’t appear to be an “E” in the last name portion?

Hi Ballroom,

Her is a PSA example - could not get a larger copy. It is interesting. The OP appears different than what I can see here and what there is online - most all of which have both "e's" in place with different construction of the "f's" etc.

Thanks, Eric. This one doesn’t appear to have the same possible issues.

Ballroom - here is another PSA example:

Thanks again, Eric.

And another from Heritage:

I see the skepticism as it’s the faults I myself thought when viewing it .

for him to say solidly that he believes it’s authentic , I feel inclined to believe .

I have 3 autographs from Buckley one has been passed by Beckett so I like to think I’m quite aware of his tendencies etc . Here’s my Beckett passed example .

Do you have exemplars where he has left out both "e"'s? The OP doesn't appear rushed...
