The seller of this signed LP claims that he obtained the autograph in person, and that JLL wrote the "To JD" dedication. The "To" appears consistent with the one from the signed photo above, which Tracks UK believes is in the hand of JLL.

The writing in that style of inscription has bugged me for a long time. It really seems so much more fluid than the signatures. I never came to a conclusion who could have done the writing other than JLL but it didn't really fit it was him either. This post does certainly point towards JLL writing the inscription but it is still odd to me.

Here's Dave Miller's TTM signed LP with the same flourish at the end of the "D", but with a block letter "To" that I also believe is from JLL.

Good catch on the D flourish. That is a unique characteristic.

From a member, Josh Lasure,  that was at the signing with Jerry Lee Lewis at the airport in LA.  Jerry Lee Lewis DID NOT write the inscription on this album or anything he signed that day.  It was either "you" wrote the inscription or Judith wrote it for you.  Kinda what I thought.

Are you referring to the pickguard that was signed last month? In the auction description, the seller claims that the LP was signed "a few years ago." Are there any photos of JLL from the signing last month?

Here is a photo taken during the LA airport signing of the pickguards.  Notice in the photo (one with JLL signing the album) the person holding the album has their arm in a sling. Just like the recent one taken at LAX.   The album signing was years ago?? And Jerry is wearing the same clothes.  hmmmmmmm

The photo at the bottom of this post is the recent one taken during the  LAX signing last month.

The two photos do appear to be from the same signing. I've emailed the seller for more info. Based on what I've seen, I can't see how Judith could have written the dedication. I'm also not sure why the seller would have Judith do that? Did Josh witness Judith writing any dedications? Did he see JLL sign this particular LP?

Does JLL generally personalize autographs he signs for free in public?

I've seen a few claimed IP signatures with dedications, including this one from member XP Autographs. He also got one IP with no dedication.

Here are couple more with the distinctive formation of the "D" with the flourish at the end. Were these dedications written by Judith? Do you think maybe JLL signed the four letter ("To JD") dedication on the LP pictured above once it was in his hand rather than the seller asking Judith to do it? He's fine with signing two items, but absolutely no dedications?

I know it gets redundant, but can you guys either post a link to the photo on our forum, or post the photo it self if your referencing past pics from awhile ago?  This discussion has had so many photos, and the discussion was dried up for awhile.... and it makes it very hard to follow without knowing what photo your talking about.

I've followed both of these discussions but I'm lost right now on what photos your talking about Ballroom.

Sorry to be a pita... but I find this whole discussion fascinating... (and no I have no opinion :)
