"Jerry Lee Lewis" Reading/Book Signing

Friday, Nov 14 7:00p

The author is signing but I don't think this includes JLL.

Rick Bragg "Jerry Lee Lewis" Reading/Book Signing Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:00pm Carter Presidential Library & Museum Theater
Rick Bragg, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Bard of the American South will be serving up one of the consummate and most colorful of Southern stories—a firsthand account of the singularly scandalous life of one of the greatest rock and rollers of all time. With JERRY LEE LEWIS: His Own Story, Bragg has tracked down the man himself and for the first time shares Lewis’s often
outrageous story as no one else ever could—straight from the legend’s mouth.

It appears Jerry Lee is pre-signing a bunch of books. See the snippet below.

“The event at the Cannon Center will be a lot of fun with me and Rick Bragg. Our book turned out great,” Lewis said. “My hand is already getting tired from signing all these books, but I’m looking forward to everyone reading about the real Jerry Lee.”

Tickets for the Nov. 7, 7 p.m. show will go on sale Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Cannon Center box office and www.ticketmaster.com. Prices will range between $30 and $100 per ticket.

Barnes & Noble plays it straight.  It's always possible someone could be signing for him...but that would be a nice little scandal for the company.

I think one point of doing it this way is to make it easy for Jerry Lee.  This way he just comes in and just does the Q & A session with the author.  I'm hoping to see his NYC session. They have about 350 seats.

The next night he's playing BB King's. I saw him a few years ago and the guy's still got it.

thanks guys for the info still cant pre order it from them stores gotta hope he comes to the uk

The Barnes & Noble store in NYC  says the book will be available for purchase on 10/28 (the day before JLL's appearance).

But they apparently don't know if they will have pre-signed copies at that time.

They also don't know how many pre-signed copies they'll eventually have although they believe it will be more than the 350 seats available for the Q & A event.

So...the operative word is confusion.

lol

Eh, those scandals aren't unheard of.

They've sold autopens as "Autographed Copies" before.

Of who? I've never heard that before. Thanks.

It has happened numerous times. Off the top of my head, Sarah Palin was one. I believe Hillary Clinton also did it on a previous book tour. I'm sure others can chime in with other examples.

Wow. That is pretty shady. I understand an auto pen ttm for free but to mislead and rip off fans with "signed" books for sale is too much.

I think Gene Simmons was doing this with one of his books. That the pre-signed copies was autopens. To my knowledge, he was using more than one autopen, but if you open up the whole box, you would see that at least two autographs were the same.

I believe there were some keith Richards autopens out there. I would be outraged.
