I absolutely agree with everything you said. I remotely even believe in a world filled with this kind of practice would even at this point not accept video evidence. It is a sad state of affairs to say the least. Thank you for the advice.

I’ve done my own research, combined it with information presented by others, and gave my honest opinion. What else would you have me do? My opinion would be exactly the same even if JLL and Judith hadn’t made those statements. Should I have gone along with the prevailing opinion here and given a dishonest opinion? Would that have put me into a better group of people in this world? I’ve spent quite a bit of time on this issue and your comment implies that I haven’t contributed anything to this discussion in support of my opinion.

One this that struck me very, very odd when it came to and helped me come to the conclusion that something was going on.  When I emailed Judith and said that an authenticator said that the album I received in the mail was not real, she emailed back that Jerry signed everything that comes to him, but if I wanted to send something again she would make sure he would sign it for FREE.  Then she went on to say, "sorry, so sorry". I would have expected the authenticator is WRONG.  Who is this authenticator etc..

And of course the ones that came back looked nothing like the first album I got and they were certified by JSA.  So why would anyone apologize if they did do something wrong??  I do appreciate her taking care of me and I have gotten some great items, but if ANYONE pays for something they should get what they paid for.

Mark,
I would think her saying "Jerry signed everything that comes to him" is her saying the authenticator is wrong. As far as the "sorry" goes, I think they just really care about the fans and are sorry you were not happy. Judith and Jerry Lee have in the past and continue to be accessible to the fans and want them satisfied.
On another note, I think it is fine we all can have our own opinions but hate to see this get ugly.

Agreed - I hate to see things get ugly as well.  I would just hope that if someone sends in $100 that they get a real Jerry Lee Lewis signature is all.

It was some work involved to get mine - for which I am very grateful to be able to get them.  She could have just ignored me - but she took the time to email me back.  For that I am very appreciative. I am just stating my thoughts on the situation and hope that people who send in money are getting what they paid for.  I did in the long run.

It's time to start bringing the two Jerry Lee Lewis autograph discussions to a close and put together a signature study from the information and opinions collected in this discussion and the Through the Mail one on Jerry Lee Lewis:

We'll start with a vote here on the autographs in the books. Only members who participated in this discussion or the TTM one may vote.

Here's the scale:

5: You feel strongly the autographs in the books seen were signed by JLL.

4: You think they were probably signed by JLL.

3: You aren't sure whether they were signed by JLL or not.

2: You think they probably weren't signed by JLL.

1: You feel strongly the books seen were not signed by JLL.

We'll tally the findings and go from there. Then we'll take votes in the TTM discussion, which will be more complicated since there are so many types and variations to review.

We'll come to conclusions where we can, based on the majority opinions and personal experiences and publish them in a signature study, as well as rebuttal from dissenting opinions. That way fans, collectors and dealers won't have to go through 130+ pages to decide what to do.

You can start voting here now. We'll open the TTM one for voting later:

Steve I like this idea. but I think the last one should be changed to "feel strongly" instead of "positive". I'm not sure any of us are positive about any of this.

Good idea. Will do, thanks.
