I also don't know how long it took, but agree that it couldn't have been in one sitting.
Besides JSA on one of these, (and yes I work with them but do not see everything and I have no idea when JSA looked at this and what my position with their company was at the time) but they make mistakes too…..but, who has said they got any of these "in person"? Who besides Ballroom and Grant have agreed that any of these three shown are authentic? Ballroom?
You did. You stated earlier that the third example is authentic.
If so then I made a mistake. It's not in my exemplar file but if you can show I said it then I made a mistake. After all I have seen from all you and others have posted, I do not believe this #3, was signed by JLL.
This is what you said about it back on page 18 of this discussion:

This one looks fine to me too including the "i" being dotted at the end like most known authentic examples. Another thing of note is that JLL usually dots his eyes with a solid dot and not a slash which is a common trait on the pick guards in question and the books. Now again there are going to be some that don't follow this but the majority do follow this pattern.
And as I said, over a year later of seeing all of the evidence out there, I have to say I was wrong and do not believe that JLL signed item #3.
The graphic is very telling. Not sure it's telling the story that they are authentic though. In my opinion, it strongly illustrates the high percentage of atypical traits.
A"FREAKING"MEN!
And NO known "IN PERSON" exemplars match the traits of known authentic signatures that were received "in person". I don't count some guy on Ebay that says he got it signed in front of him.
The ONLY other signatures that match up nearly perfect are the ones that were sent in in to the hotel with James Whitten. No one saw them or the books signed yet they look identical in every aspect. Again, PSA/DNA got it wrong folks.
Nicely stated Steve. I want to add that a fairly high percentage of the "L" in Lewis on the books look like the number "7". I do not believe I have seen ANY authentic versions with that characteristic. In fact in authentic versions, the upper loop of the "L" is pronounced. I know Ballroom put a lot of time into putting those book signatures together, and it is greatly appreciated. But I am sure all it has done is cemented both side's already formed opinions, and changed none.
Nicely said Steve!
