We have some top-notch Doors guys here, so I'll leave this to them, but if it is real, I think it would be one of 3 known Jim Morrison signed albums.

This one sold at RRAuction in 2012 for $17,365: https://www.rrauction.com/PastAuctionItem/3251915

The other is a band-signed album sold earlier this year on eBay that appeared out of nowhere!

hello,

Thank you very much. that's a great Morrison hotel shot. Its just really hard to tell. i want it it but just not sure. thanks again

It doesn't look authentic to me, and resembles a known forgery style. We're still at two, in my opinion.

Thanks for weighing in. not sure what to do

oh my lordy that's an impressive forgery if it is.

very scary

exactly. it looks legit. this is tuff one

Tuff in meaning that it looks close. what had me questioning it, it come with a COA from  Old Pro Gallery in City Center Glendale, CA - Los Angeles County. I'm not sure what they based their research on.  that said, you are correct, we sometime we can't see the trees for the forest.  thanks very much

I don't know Old Pro Gallery. They could easily sell a genuine version of that signed album quickly for $15,000...quite possibly more. What are they asking for it?

I see that it has been relisted a few times. The current starting bid is $2,777, with a BIN price of $3,610.

Yeah. The other 3 sigs are defo legit. I have them in person from a while back. In your opinion,  do you think its worth contacting PSA? I know they charge a high fee but it might be worth a shoot. i really do appreciate the help.

The fee would be high if you were to purchase it and send it in for authentication. I don't think it's necessary, but a better option would be to spend $10 for a Quick Opinion if you really need more assurance. An authentically signed debut album with a signature of similar quality wouldn't last five minutes on eBay at that price.
