Garland is quick, smooth and usually light at this time. This looks slow and uncomfortable - the end of every stroke gets slower and heavier.

I believe Eric is calling it correctly.

If you could please answer, what time frame would this be? If it IS her signature, is it normal for her to not sign last name? I see she usually signs with last name.

It is unusual for a first name only but she did do it. I don't believe she did his one though. Time frame C. 1945-50. Here is mine from that period.

Here is a Judy Garland signed photo postcard I just added to my collection. This is an MGM publicity photo for Presenting Lilly Mars - her first film role as an adult. 1943 was also the year of her first solo concert. The blue fountain signature fits right into 1942/43 with the "d" and underline among other features. She has just dropped the capital "G" in her last name. Not so very long after OZ - only 4 years - but this was her 10th film since The Wizard! She was released from her MGM contract in 1950. Another gem from HD.

My opinion is this was NOT signed by Judy.

It looks like someone tried to copy the signaure of one of her albums.

Thank you all so much for your responses! I’ll clean the frame and put it in my guest bedroom. She looks beautiful in the picture and my dad’s name is Mike.

Thank you all again for your responses! (I’ll still secretly tell my guests it’s real) :)
