Juliens auction - fake

Here it is again. This set of 3 signatures is currently offered by Juliens. Despite what the "COA" says. These are not authentic - as one could clearly see - and surely the story is rubbish. This was offered several months ago on Ebay with a QO by Epperson and had a buyer but the auction was withdrawn after a discussion in this group. At the time it was offered as being signed for the sound crew during the 1966 German tour. I know all these guys as I interviewed some of them for my book on the tour. I contacted them again and had the proof that none got autographs. A shame Becket wrote a COA - seems they have no clue at all. And a shame this is offered again despite knowing that this is rubbish.

I’ve seen them before and also believe that they aren’t authentic.

We do have third-party signature experts review our catalogue before going to print (individuals with no stake in whether property is or is not included in each sale) but we are always receptive to discuss any concerns and we will always consider additional information and perspectives.

This one also had the Beckett authentication and was slabbed by them, but these third-party grading services are not as experienced with rock 'n' roll.

In any event, we have withdrawn this lot from the sale based on the additional information provided.
