Hi

This is my first post so I don't know if I'm doing it right.

Has anyone used *trackattack* on ebay before? They seem to have been around for over ten years and have good feedback. The reason I ask is because I've purchased a hand signed picture of Kate Bush and most of her fans who collect have said it's genuine except one who says it's a print. I know it's just one person but they're always the one little voice of nagging doubt that gets into your head. I've found autographs from the same time (circa 1993) signed in the same pen and some have dedications so it all looks good. I just wondered if I posted some screen shots people could tell me what they thought.

Thanks

Its definitely her autograph - what I cannot say is if its a print or the genuine thing...this was her standard mail out promo which she personally signed (no secretaries in the Kate Bush household).

The only way to determine print or real is to get a magnifying glass on it. From what I have seen trackattack have been fairly genuine and consistent in their sales of real autographs.

Thank you so much for your reply and having a look at this for me MarkG. Sorry to be a pain but as I'm a newbie to collecting what should I be looking for under a magnifying glass to prove it's authenticity?

It makes me feel a little bit less nervous that a completely different seller has one up for sale of pretty much the same style. Just with a dedication.

Not at all - there are some incredibly helpful people on this site who hopefully may chip in too on what to do - the signature is not in question.

The metallic pens (depending on the manufacturer) - often referred to as paint pens - can leave small raised trails when examined very, very closely. You cannot necessarily feel it by touch alone but holding the photo at an angle with light shining on the autograph should show a surface that either is consistent with it being part of the photo (ie a pre print, which I doubt it is) or not.

Good luck and trust you find out!

Mark

This is a Real Kate Autograph.......like Mark said

Thank you so much MarkG and Autographcontrol for your replies. You have really put my mind at ease.

Hi There

I have a Kate Bush auto for sale, signed to me personally in front of me. Does anyone know approximate worth?

It was written in 1979 and is on a now removed page out of my autograph book so about 3 inches wide.

Hi

Without dedication KB goes for around £150 - with dedication around £100-125. You are probably better cropping and mounting under a picture from the era that she signed this (I am guessing around 1985 ish?)

Cheers Mark
