Yes, those TLS pieces on that letterhead from the 80's era are real.  Many of them, like this one, are short and sweet!

She was very gracious at this point in responding to kindnesses shown to her.  I've often thought she was happy to be remembered by this time.

I got a few of those from her myself.  At some point she started using just her first initial and last name.

I'll admit that it is a bit unusual in content. :)

I was young and naive at the time and I watched her movie "On Golden Pond" on network TV where they didn't edit out the fairly mild profanity, and I wrote to see what she thought about it.

Excellent!  Definitely great content (somehow I thought it perhaps did have something to do with ON GOLDEN POND)!

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. Would be nice to keep the original context with this letter so anyone that finds/sees it in the future will know what it’s about.
