You could get a Signature Review from Beckett. They allow you to upload an image, but I believe that PSA requires a link.

Also, if you check locally, JSA travels to different card shows and shops. They were at a card show I was at today in Georgia. That way you can get an in-person review with immediate feedback. If they are near you at any point in the near future.

I assumed that Matt was asking before he bought.

Matt, do you own it? If so, are you still under return privilege, either thru the seller, PayPal or your card company?

I have had this autograph since about 2008. I just pulled it out, never having had it authenticated. So that’s how I found you guys ...

I opted to pay for the Beckett quick opinion and you guys were right, “unlikely to pass”. Learned my lesson. Never buy signatures from EBay.

You can buy from eBay but must do your homework.

Occasionally if you know the signature you can pick up items for great prices that some sellers do not understand what they have. However, too many buyers see a Kobe for $10 and think they have the bargain of the century despite it being a clear fake

Sorry, Matt. Thankfully you probably didn't pay today's prices.

if I were to continue to use eBay, what should I look for before buying? I would hate to get burned again

Firstly, what is your budget? What do you prefer, a signed photo, ball, shirt etc as the prices vary. Often it can take time but sellers do offer discounts or have sales on items sometimes which can make things more affordable.

Kobe did sign quite a lot and although his prices are still very high bargains do come up here and there depending on what you want and your budget

I really would just like a signed photo. Of course I would love to have a signed game worn jersey or something but I do not have the financial freedom for that kind of purchase. I just would love to add a Kobe autograph to my wall since he is no longer here and was such a big part of my life since I’m a big Lakers fan.

Hi Matt, what's your budget maximum as without knowing if it's $1,000 or $500 it's impossible to give you ideas or help ? Yeah, game worn would set you back the same as a car!

I would say up to 1000 maybe a little more
