$45 pre-order with bookplates

Thanks, Quadropheniac. I was literally just reading the piece that he wrote for the New York Times ("My Dinner with Adolf") and thought it would be super cool to get something signed by him -- and you pulled through. Gratitude.

Thanks so much for this. Missed it earlier too and managed to snag one right when you posted.

So mad that this sold out while I was checking out. Really hoping BN or someone else/better gets it too.

Keep monitoring it.  It sold out earlier. I missed it.  I caught it on a restock.

Thanks, fingers crossed

Quick question -- I will NEVER buy a signed book with a bookplate (although when working at a news station, one was sent to me signed by Jimmy Carter and I gladly accepted). I just hate the look of it.

Do you guys not mind either way how the book is signed?

As we say don't look a gift horse in the mouth, it's the same as a signed page those are inserted after the signing too.

I realize that, but it just looks cheesy. I bought the Chris Stein book (Blondie guitarist), and the book plate was literally, 2 inches by 2 inches. It was nuts. (the book sucked, too)

I would prefer the signature to be on the book, but I have no issues if the only option is a bookplate.  I have a few of Bernie Taupin's recent book, two of them are signed on the book itself and one (I believe the UK version) is a bookplate, and I actually like the bookplate more.

Would love to see a restock on these, I was 2 hours late, some copies on ebay going for 250 USD and higher.

Doesn't look like any have sold yet. I'd be shocked if a bookplate by him stays anywhere near that price once a ton end up for sale when released.
