Here's are Bud Abbott and Lou Costello signatures I came across that are signed in black fountain pen.  The Abbott signature looks like other exemplars I have seen and I believe is authentic. I tend to think the Costello is as well. With Lou, I know that his signature sometimes varied and his secretary also signed for him.  I was wondering if those familiar with A & C and their signing habits might care to weigh in.

Thanks!

Here is my A&C collection for comparison: Matching C. 1945 album pages from Dr. Gary Brucato with a C. 1952 candid from the Violet and Francis Zane Collection.

Thses appear somewhat atypical - see what others say.

Thanks, Eric.....definitely appreciate the input.

I'd also certainly welcome others to share their thoughts on these

p.s. That's a great candid, Eric!

As I compare the ones on your album pages and the ones I have posted, I'm feeling a bit uncertain myself.  Yours seem to have a natural flow to the writing which I'm not sure the others do.

Thank you. What are these signatures on? Can you show the whole item?

The signatures are on a 40's photograph of them clowning for a publicity still.  I should have uploaded the whole image so I am glad you asked, Eric.
Here is the photo as well as close ups of the signatures and what appears to be an inscription in Bud Abbott's hand (?).

The lady who signed for Lou Costello was named Aida Polo & niece to Eddie Polo silent movie star. Not a lot of info on her out there but I've got her signature that my grandfather brought home from the war. He got it signed at the Hollywood canteen.
