This is no longer about the authenticity of an autograph; it's about lies and deception.
Chris,
You mean like Johnny Sparks telling us he told us he got it from a friend:
I acquired it from a good friend.Who,I know for a fact, purchased it, personally from Mickey Mantle,@ the 1st Raritan Center Baseball Card Show. Held in Edison, NJ on March 31st, 1990.
Then later saying this on Net54...?
Just bought a Mantle signed ball, from a guy, on Ebay. Who has been on there, for 17 years, and has 100 rating. He said, he had gotten the ball signed in person, in 1990. The ball has no COA, but I am going to get it authenticated this weekend by PSA OR JSA.
Johnny,
If you do send it to PSA/DNA, ask to have it graded if they think it's good. There probably aren't any Mantle balls graded 1. It could bring big bucks as a novelty.
Worst site for getting anything AUTOGRAPH related analyzed. The administrators and some of there members are in bed together.
That means there trying to sell you something else. Non bias no way! Don't be disappointed by any of there *** answers on your stuff. They stink!
don't share your treasures with there fake site . You know you guys are rotten and they take advantage of unsuspecting people that are looking for an honest opinion on there gems. When in reality all they want you to do is use there authentication methods provided for money. The members there help push the services that are on the site by discrediting other sites.
scare tactics that your item is fake.
Yep.
I just don't get it.
GET A LIFE!!
This site is guilty of supporting some of the worst forger's in the business while attacking honest competitors. It's full of deceit, kicking off experts, lies, defamation and protecting the fraud industry.
Trust nothing here! The owner co-founded PSA and protects them. He doesn't care about the truth even when faced with it. When this happens he deletes posts.
Steve Cyrkin is known to use many fake names to post his agenda pro RR Auction, and against any of their competitors. He will make up the most outlandish claims backed by nothing and then tell the victim to sign up so their voice can be heard.
If they do this he and his squad will bash them into submission.A crazy dishonest site full of misinformation and mostly non-truths.
I'm a well known collector and I sell a few items out of my collection every year.Just because this guy has an attitude doesn't mean he's saving the consumer.
The only words in his vocabulary are "garbage" and "***". Maybe this is seen to some as righteous, but in my career nobody with this type of character would ever work for me. Chris does nothing but banter on, spreading his erroneous knowledge. I have heard through the grapevine from other collectors that he is a stockholder with PSA.
I have used PSA over the years and if I find this information holds truth I will consider ceasing futher business with them. The reason for this review is Christopher Williams described my Ted Williams ball as "garbage". I have obtained 8 signed Ted Williams baseballs, all signed in person throughout the 90's. I decided to sell 2 last year.
Sometimes I will pay for certification if the item wasn't signed for me in person or if my customer requests it. With certification costs incorporated the item cost will naturally increase. Anyway, long story short above *** decided to write a big lengthy score on the baseball. Be aware of what you read and do your research.
I've found in 30 years all you need to do is research.Don't let these guys fool you that their knowledge is above and beyond.
I said,that.That poor guy didn't. He's an innocent!
Again.....
