I found this for sale locally at a reasonable price, but GAI has had a lot of issues with forgeries, so I know their authentication doesn’t mean much. This item is still listed in their database, so I wanted to get opinions on the authenticity of the auto. Don’t want to pass it up if it’s legit. Thanks.

Glad you asked Matt. That's a machine-signed forgery. If you look at the photo closely you probably see that it's an inkjet printed photo. The paper will be heavier than regular photo lab photos, and if you use a magnifier or have great eyes you'll see that the photo is made up of tiny dots instead of a smooth flowing images like a regular photo.

Great, thanks for the input and savings. I appreciate the feedback.

Typical and common forgery with a worthless COA from the old GAI.

GAI authenticated thousands of Mantle, DiMaggio, Williams, Mays, Koufax, etc. forgeries before they went bankrupt in 2009.
