My book from the Metallica site finally moved. It's gone from Fernwood, MI to the Detroit distribution center with delivery projected in a couple days.

I contacted Left Bank Books in St Louis for more info and here's what they wrote. Looks like there isn't really a point to arrive early

We will be sending out an email to all ticket holders mid-week letting everyone know how the signing will work. It is strictly a book signing. We anticipate people will be lining up early, so showing up at 2pm might put you later in the line, but everyone will have an opportunity to get their book signed. The signing will move pretty quickly so that he can meet a lot of people and sign a whole bunch of books.
