Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

And every single one of them has an error that stands out like a sore thumb... (I mentioned it to you privately Lizzie).  The forgers just don't quit.

Peter pan was Lot 500 from the Partridge auction.

Lot 498, the double-signed pillow case has now also found its way on to ebay uk:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MICHAEL-JACKSON-HAND-DRAWN-AND-AUTOGRAPHED-...

£1200 BIN or offers

The grammar on the MJJ Productions letter is bad. It appears written by an non-native English speaker.

This pillowcase from sports2you2011 of Melbourne Aus looks to be from the same 'family' of autographs as the above.  The pillowcase apparently has a UK 'premium quality' makers label, according to the ebay description, which also links the item to MJs tour in 1979-80.

Currently offered for 1200 Australian dollars BIN

I see that the Peter Pan above is re-listed on ebay UK  :)

A really good pencil drawing of Michael Jackson as Peter Pan, as featured in Adam Partridges auction. Yes the guy from TV, We couldn't shift it then so we are trying to shift it now. 1p start. Comes with a loa from MJ signed by MJ. Did you know he couldn't write English, we didn't know until he saw the loa. This is the same loa from Adam Partridge's auction.

If it doesn't sell we'll just throw it in the bin, just waiting for others to copy and list as genuine.

LOLOL OMG!  We have a comedian following our posts.   Liz sent me their 2nd listing for it too, check this.  I love it!

michael jackson peter pan drawing as featured on live autograph magazine.

Fantastic superb Peter Pan drawing as featured on live autograph magazine!

Hand drawn with a loa from Michael Jackson with bad grammar and bad spelling mistakes.

The real thing! Of course. We know as it was listed in an auction from a well known tv personality. So bid with confidence.

Rescued from the trash! Starting at 1p.

sports2you2011  doesn't have the same writing as the pillowcase dude.  We did talk about him earlier though, Carlos made a thread for him too:  http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/michael-jackson-opin...

His writing is all over the place - almost comical.

Would you mind popping that one onto that discussion as well?  (he has like 4 other bad autos in his stuff for sale right now too on MJ)

Done, plus 2 more pillowcases (= 3 in total) :)

(Apologies for the delay...been a bit busy lately)

It really is sad isn't it Chad?

Here's another one that cracks me up (altho not autograph related), check the font.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-Michael-Jackson-Blood-on-the-Danc...

As if Juliens would have tags where the font doesn't work or show up correctly when it was printed and sent with the buyer.  And whats funnier is that they state several times over that the card doesn't go along with the beads, its just to show the beads are authentic.  The Juliens card isn't authentic either!

People keep buying this stuff though.... as ridiculous as it is.

I know next to nothing about Michael Jackson's autograph but in many of the suspicious ones the number "8" when making "J" is distinguishing did he ever sign that way?  It pops out at you.

Yes he did sign with that S type swirl over the J for a short period of time, its my least favorite style of his autographs.  These are not legit auto's though... just someone mimicking that style.

Hello Lizzie & Wascher,

I am fairly new to this site, however I have been a in-person collector and seller for over 25 years. I would like to say that after reading all this text on MJ's drawings and signatures-you were very impressive. Your drive to push for the truth is unstoppable. I think you proved some experts wrong, shut up a few people and drove some underground.

Great job!

Oh! I once had MJ's signature. I obtained it from a Hasbro worker who met him when he came to the toy Company here in RI. I believe Jackson had some investment in the co.  I went stupid one day and ended up selling it through an auction.  I should have kept it.
