Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

'Michael'   has been very busy again, and there are lots of drawings included in 'Simon Parr Auctions' for the 4th December 2015 listing.  I will try not to repeat too many of those already listed from previous sales.

(Drawings currently start at Lot 165)

where was the hepburn one found from?

This is Lot 165 on page 4 of the Invaluable listing for Simon Parr Auctions on 4th Dec 15.  The link is here:

http://www.invaluable.co.uk/auction-lot/michael-jackson-drawing:-au...

Estimated Price: £1,000 - £2,000

Description: A drawing of one of Michael's friends Audrey Hepburn. The drawing is in paint and markers, and is signed by Michael Jackson. 18x24 inches. This piece can be professionally mounted and framed in high white gloss, black gloss or matt black or wood grain white for £165.00

Condition Report: Good. Please note this item will be sent to the winning bidder in January.

(Another way to find these items is to go to the main 'SP Auctions' page for 4th December 15, and search using 'Michael  Jackson')

I didn't think it was possible but the items are getting uglier. This painting is not suitable for display. If I believed the signature was actually that of Jackson, I would matt out the painting to display only the signature.

Also, I looked around on the "invaluable" site and found many questionable items. Perhaps the site should be renamed "notvaluable."

(Apologies for the duplicate with the Teddy; the first upload did not seem to be accepted on the thread, so I uploaded it again).

More from Simon Parr Auctions on Invaluable from the 7th December 15 Auction listing:

Lot 34 Greta Garbo

Lot 37 Mickey Mouse (with crown)

Lot 38 Monster (face)

When Parr had joined the forum he had gone onto an old discussion here and commented that if people wanted to know if an item was real to

http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/help-with-michael-ja...

The item that was being discussed was this one:

You can see what happened afterward, as I explained the actual original by Michael, never even had an autograph.  And if he was selling the one in the discussion, it was a forgery.

The original MJ authentic drawing:

He then distanced himself from the one in the discussion.

After he was removed from this forum I spotted this on his actual website   http://www.simongparr.com/ one of the half faces.

Here is that sketch up close

A close up of that sig reveals "Michael" (cough) forgot how to sign his own name and signed it with two L's.  (Michaels swoop at the end of his name in his authentic autograph, is his L)

Now you are showing another one he has for sale.

He has so many for sale its no wonder he replied to that old discussion--he can't keep them straight.   And none are legit.

Lot 348 at the Simon Parr Auction (Invaluable) on 4th Dec 15 is also 'Greta Garbo'

The well of creativity is not yet dry (unfortunately).

Here are more drawings in the 4th December 15 sale at Simon Parr auctions (hopefully excluding, as far as possible,  repeats from previous sales):

273 Mighty Mouse

279 Gene Kelly

363 Rock Hudson

365 Eddie Murphy

367 Morgan Freeman

http://www.invaluable.co.uk/catalog/searchLots.cfm?scp=c&catalo...

Personally I preferred the 'blue' Rock Hudson offered earlier by 'Memory Vault', and noted earlier in this thread.....  Maybe the well of inspiration is a bit drier* than the well of creativity.

(*I originally mis-spelled that as 'direr', but on consideration that was probably a better description)

Lot 133 Lizi Minnelli (sic)

Lot 134 Cinderella

Lot 135 Robot
