Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

Hi Lizzie,

I'm unfortunately the buyer of this drawing yesterday and paid a big amount for it... Just found out about this site and forum and could really use your help...

I'm absolutely gutted right now... I haven't paid for this item yet but with all the rules on Knaisz I will probably have to pay for it anyway...

So if I can do anything about it or someone could help me with this or what I should do, all would be very much appreciated!!!

Thanx!!

Tony

Hello, looking at the site now. Obviously, don't pay :) Advice will follow - either from me or Lizzie etc. Perhaps "I refuse to use a Wire Transfer or Bank Transfer to foster what I now know is International Mail Fraud. Good luck!"...etc...I have done this sort of thing years ago with a similar problem more like a bait and switch.

Those terms are bad but better than some other more known houses! I have to run but other may be able to offer some help.

Ok, thanx a lot Eric!!

PS - Obviously I am not a lawyer - seek proper counsel etc. Just my .02 cents.

Ok, already thanx for the help Eric!!

Tony,

Are you sure you won it? The lot is listed as Passed:

Tony, keep that screenshot! Good Job Steve!

Eric, will do!!

Yes, if I go to my account on the site, it says, "won auctions" so yeah, I'm the "lucky" winner!! :(

Take a screenshot of both of those pages, the "passed" and your "win" with the times showing. There may be a way out of this. You may already be put - says listing closed and passed. I bet Steve's shot is recent.

Edit to add: No confirming email? Better yet. Were it me, I would not "ask" anything because you will relinquish whatever you have to stand on. I would "tell" them. Go slow(ish). Deliberate. Get further info here - it will come.
