I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.
Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.
Here are some current examples:

The quality of this work is getting worse by the post. I guess someone is trying to cash in before everyone gets wise.
Mike, would it do any good for you to send them a note since you are a professional third party authenticator? Maybe you and Roger could both send them a note?
They are absolutely horrid drawings too (not just the autographs).

Yeah I know, I've had experience myself with a few of them even when they are shown exact proof to show something is not legit. $ $peaks.
You're welcome Lizzie. You and Wascher deserve the compliments for all of the hard work that you two have put in. Is it possible to either start a separate website, with segments for real and forged artwork, both by Michael and theoretically a lot of the other common music performers, sports figures and others who's signatures have either been authenticated or determined to be "likely not genuine" in the opinion of a consensus of this group.
Either we could set up a separate forum on this site, with pictures by individual, and then sub-categories, which in the case of Michael Jackson could include things like the bogus Disney drawings, other "portraits," the Erick forgeries, with a library of both known legitimate and forged items, so that people would really have a ready reference library at their disposal. Or, a completely separate site could be started, just to be a "library" of items that have crossed the threshold here, as well as other items from ebay and various less than reputable auction houses.
This could potentially save a lot of people a lot of heartache and hard earned dollars, and maybe help to put a dent into the forgery business if their items are now readily locatable in the database. Just a thought. Keep up the good fight.
